So you might be wondering about the blog.

Well, first I’ll say that there are a whole lot of JET blogs out there. And I deliberated quite a lot about the title to use here, and I think that the result is fun and uniquely me.

Island because 1) not only is Japan a massive island, but 2) I’ll be going to an island within an island! So I thought that was appropriate.

Anomaly because I will be, and always have been, kind of an oddity wherever I go. I use this specific word also because it gives a nod to my love of the skies and space, and anomaly is a word commonly used in that vocabulary. Consider it another nod to my family name (Lee).

So there you have it! It’s a work in progress of course, and in the future I hope to branch out and tackle other writing topics, but I hoped you’ve enjoyed it so far!
